We fit the floor, not the court around it.
Trakfloor is the indoor sports flooring brand of GO Corporation. Specification first, because on an indoor floor the specification is most of the job.
What we actually do
We specify and install indoor sports floors: solid hardwood halls and arenas, dance and fitness studios, and portable event floors that are laid and struck. It is a specialist flooring trade, not a surfacing one. The work is boards, a subfloor and a resilient layer built to a load class, on a slab that has to be dry and flat before any of it starts.
Most of the value lands before anything is installed. Nine systems look interchangeable on a sport rating and are not: the load class, the build height and the federation licence separate them, and the wrong pick survives handover and fails two years later under a scissor lift. Getting that right is the product.
How we talk about what we do not know
The manufacturer published a marketing catalogue, not a datasheet. It contains no price, no shock-absorption or friction value, no panel weights for the portable systems, and a badminton grade with no certificate number. Rather than fill those gaps with plausible numbers, this site lists them. If a figure matters to your specification, we put it to the manufacturer and tell you what comes back.
The same rule applies to work. The installations further down are the manufacturer’s, published with their permission and labelled as theirs. When we have floors of our own to show, they will be ours and they will say so.
The manufacturer
KTL Sports Flooring
- Where they are
- Banting, Selangor, Malaysia. Founded 1966 as a sawmill; exporting timber from 1975.
- Where the floors are designed
- Vaerloese, Denmark, and tested with the Danish Technological Institute.
- Worth being precise about
- The Danish content is real and it is narrower than Danish manufacture. The floors are designed in Denmark and tested there; they are made in Malaysia, and about 90 per cent of the wood is discarded hevea plantation rubberwood.
How they got here
Worth knowing, because a sports floor is a long bet on a manufacturer. KTL did not start as a sports-floor company and their own account of it is unusually candid.
- 1966Founded as a sawmiller by the Lee family.
- 1979Began specialising in sawn timber and wood mouldings.
- 1990Became OEM for Junckers, the Danish sports-floor maker. KTL record that their first container-loads were found lacking and that Junckers' sales manager gave them a second chance.
- 2008Junckers order volumes fell sharply. With Danish partner Ole Slott, KTL began developing their own sports flooring line. KTL state that testing for FIBA certification then took six years before the products were proven; they do not say which year that ended.
Their account, from the April 2024 Thailand presentation, and not something we have independently verified. The part worth weighing is the middle of it: a decade making floors to a Danish brand’s standard before selling any under their own name.
Where these floors are already down.
The same range, in arenas, schools and clubs on four continents.
These are KTL Sports Flooring’s installations, not ours.
Reproduced from their catalogue with their permission (Keat, KTL, 2026-09-04). Trakfloor did not specify, supply or install any of them. We show them because the range under a reader’s brief is the range already down in these buildings. The catalogue does not say which system went into which venue, so neither do we. If that matters to a brief, we ask.
